Item A shift from physical era to digital era - A case study on customer preference towards online shopping in north and south district of Goa(Aurangabad: Shreyas Publication, 2022) Palkar, Yanita C.; Pires, Rochelle Loraine; Velip, Shreya ShrikantDue to easily availability of Internet, Online shopping has become a very popular activity done by people across different ages. Online shopping has become habitual similar to email and browsing. In this study we have made an attempt to understand the customer preferences towards online shopping in both the districts in Goa. The research focus on the important factors which influence behaviour of customer while online shopping and it also aims to identify the various determinants which are seen in the intention of the customer while doing the online shopping.In this study we have taken responses from 83 respondents, 62 respondents are from North District and 21 respondents are from South District of Goa. In the study it is found there is a positive approach towards online buying among the people of North and South District of Goa. The major determinants responsible for online shopping were Door Step Delivery and Time Saving in the process of buying. It is also observed that Youth prefer online buying more often.Item A Study on the use of Social Media towards Achievement of Accessible Election in Goa(CSIBER Press, 2023) Gaude, Sudesh Nanda; Palkar, Yanita C.n India as per the census 2011, the population of Persons with Disabilities is 2.68 crore whereas there are 33,012 (17016 male and 15,996 females) Persons with disabilities in the State of Goa. A total of 62,63,701 Persons with Disabilities were registered within an electorate of 910 million in India, whereas 7474 were registered in Goa as on the 2019 Loksabha Election. The main prominence of the study is to examine the use of social media towards the achievement of an Accessible Election in the Goa State Legislative Assembly General Election 2022 held on 14th February 2022. The data available in the office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Goa was used for the study. Office of the Chief Electoral Officer Goa conducted State Legislative Assembly General Election 2022 and social media played a vital role in achieving the milestone of Accessible Election for Persons with Disabilities, Transgender Electors. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, WhatsApp, and YouTube, were predominantly used to disseminate information about the Accessibility and the Assured Minimum Facilities Sign Language Interpreter was involved to disseminate information and all the activities carried out were uploaded on social media to reach out to the Person with Disabilities Electors. The overall impact of the use of social media is 9599 Person with Disabilities Electors were tagged. Transgender were enrolled first time as electors who cast their votes.Item Corporate Social Responsibility And Social Activities In Goa(Multidisciplinary Scholarly Research Association, India & Aarhat Publication and Aarhat Journals, 2019) Palkar, Yanita C.Corporate social responsibilities have been practiced in Goa for last many decades. With the introduction of section 135 of the companies Act 2013, which contains the CSR provisions and Schedule VII of the Act, enumerates activities that are taken as CSR activities such as eradicating hunger, women empowerment, promoting education, promoting gender equality etc. The paper focuses on the implementation of the CSR activities and identifying the areas which are not been focused by the corporate sector for the sustainable development of the society. The collection of data is based on primary and secondary data, through personal interview, websites, annual reports, and books etc. It have been suggested in the study that as the activities are already mentioned in the Act the activities which Government wants to undertake but due to financial problem and other constraints cannot implement, the corporate sector can help the government or they can start such projects on their own for the betterment of the society. In India we are behind in research work we depend on other countries for technology so if the corporate sector helps in developing the research culture in the universities by having tie-ups with the education system, if the education system is based on the need of the industry it will lead to creation of employment. Our universities would be listed among the top universities in world. India is the only country to have such legal provision. Government have been lenient to corporate sector after the introduction of CSR activities as an Act.Item Purple Fest All India Para Table Tennis Open Championship Goa 2023 (NON -Ranking) A case Study(Aurangabad: Shreyas Publication, 2023) Gaude, Sudesh Nanda; Palkar, Yanita C.The Purple Fest-Celebrating Diversity, India’s first of its kind inclusive fest that embraces and celebrates Persons with Disabilities. It is an inclusive event that aims to showcase the person with disabilities and person without disabilities can come together to create a welcoming and inclusive world for everyone. The festival includes engaging panel discussions, artistic live performances, grand exhibitions, immersive experience zones and more. Purple fest was organized from the 6th January to 8th January 2023 by the Office of the State Commissioner for Person with Disabilities in association with Directorate of Social Welfare and Entertainment Society of Goa. Directorate of Information and Publicity, Director of Health Services, Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, Sports Authority of Goa, Goa Tourism Development Corporation, Directorate of Higher Education, Goa Human Resource Development Corporation and the Non-Government organisation working for person with Disabilities and Companies like Geno Pharmaceuticals , through Corporate Social Responsibilities initiatives contributed for the event. The present study aims to analyse the CSR contribution of the Geno Pharmaceuticals towards Organisation of Purple fest All India Para Table Tennis open championship Goa 2023 held on 7th January 2023 at Indoor Stadium, SAG Campal Goa. Para-Table Tennis is one of the most unique sports on the Para Sports programme, wherein players are categorized into 10 classifications based on the impairment. Para sports is played only by a player having physical disabilities. Geno Pharmaceuticals, contributed Rs. 4.5 lakh as CSR fund for the event. The CSR fund was utilized for Transportation of the players and equipment’s, food and Refreshments, Cash prizes to the winners, Medal and Trophies, Honorarium to the experts etc. 140 para players (109 male and 31 females) from 15 different States registered. 58 wheelchair category and 82 in Standing category. Winners received 13 Gold Medals,13 Silver medals and 20 Bronze medals.
