    A Strategic Study on Problems Faced by Women Entrepreneurs in Rural Goa: Emerging Needs and Challenges

    A women entrepreneur is any woman or a group of women who begin, organize and operate business enterprises for personal gain. Even though the concept of women entrepreneurs came into existence many years ago, the problems faced by them are rapidly increasing. The paper focuses on the various problems faced by the women entrepreneurs in Goa. The main objective of the paper is to analyse various problems faced by the women entrepreneurs and to find out the association between demographic profile & overall problems faced by them. The research is purely based on primary data i.e. questionnaire Method is used to collect the data from 104 respondents. The Variables used in the research are Personal, financial, human resource, Manpower, natural Resources of raw –Materials, technological, infrastructural & administrative problems & the techniques used are Descriptive Statistics, Chi Squared Test & Regression Analysis. The findings of the study are that the personal, financial, human resource, raw material, technological, infrastructural & administrative problems show a positive influence on the overall problems faced by the women in rural areas and there is no association of age, qualification, marital status, turnover and monthly income on the location of the women entrepreneurs in rural Goa.
